This announcement alone embodies the idiocy of the state mandate that you must a report by computer and only computer to prove you’ve worked enough to keep your health insurance. If only legislators had a work/report requirement.
The Arkansas Department of Human Services (DHS) has learned that the state data center is experiencing intermittent core network issues today, which has impacted several state agencies, including DHS and the www.Access.Arkansas.gov site. Though some Arkansas Works enrollees have been able to log in and report their work and community engagement activities, the site is experiencing sporadic issues that could affect people as they log in and report their activities. If this issue has kept enrollees from reporting today, which is the last day to report activities for August, they can request a good cause exemption by sending an email to AWgoodcauserequest@dhs.arkansas.gov or by contacting their local DHS county office by close of business Friday, October 5. The request should include the information that enrollees were trying to report to show they were in compliance. DHS will send a letter to enrollees with this information.
