It is possible to make a living in the private sector after public office. See former Attorney General Dustin McDaniel. He has plans in the works for a 7,700-square-foot office building at Fourth and Pulaski within view of the state Capitol.

Pulaski Fourth Holdings, led by McDaniel, is on the agenda of Thursday’s Capitol Zoning District Commission for approval of plans to build a two-story building on the vacant southwest corner of Fourth and Pulaski for a building that will house McDaniel’s law firm, McDaniel, Richardson and Calhoun. A deck on the north side of the second floor looks like it might have a nice view of the Capitol dome.

The commission staff has recommended approval.
