The U.S. Supreme Court today issued a stay of injunctions against the Trump administration’s ban on military service by transgender people.

Justices Ginsberg, Kagan, Sotomayor and Breyer would have left the injunctions in place. Which is a hint on where the Bart O’Kavanaugh court likely stands on the broader issue. The case will proceed. But in the meanwhile, the administration can put the rule into effect.
