It’s early yet, but stay tuned for developments on the Donald Trump proposal to trade some temporary relief for immigrants for billions for his wall. The analysis has begun and, no surprise, the fine print looks problematic.

The 1,301-page bill was introduced last night and the study has just begun. It’s best evaluated through the usual lens: Whatever Trump says about it is undoubtedly dishonest. Sen. Chuck Schumer says it’s just more hostage taking. That’s believable, given the source.
