For today’s presidential holiday, the Woodrow Wilson National Fellowship Foundation prepared a 20-question quiz on American history. 60 percent flunked and Arkansas responses put us in the bottom five states.

The questions were drawn from material to prepare for the citizenship examination and put to 41,000 people. Only residents in Vermont got a passing grade of D or better, Axios reports. While only 40 percent of all test-takers passed, only 27 percent of those younger than 45 did. More here from the history initiative.

Take the test.
