Arkansas Business Publishing Group breaks the news today of its sale to current president Mitch Bettis by a group led by long-time CEO Olivia Myers Farrell. Financial terms weren’t disclosed.
Bettis will become CEO of the publishing group and sole owner. Farrell will retire when the deal closes later this month. No changes in operation are expected at the flagship Arkansas Business weekly. ABPG employs 65 and produces 30 publications, including Soiree and Little Rock Family.

Arkansas Business was founded in 1984 as part of the Writers Project. Arkansas Business and Arkansas Times eventually became independent operations.
Bettis had been a regional publisher for GateHouse Media before joining Arkansas Business in 2013,
