Donald Trump’s
summit with North Korea was abruptly terminated with an announcement that no deal was possible for now. In short:

Kim wants money (sanctions lifted) but doesn’t want to give up all his nukes.

Trump’s parting remarks included his belief in the assurance from Kim Jong Un that he knew nothing about the death of Otto Warmbier, who died shortly after release from North Korean custody.

“Some really bad things happened to Otto — some really really bad things. But he tells me that he didn’t know about it and I will take him at his word,” Trump said, referring to the North Korean dictator.

If you can’t trust a weird, murderous autocrat, who can you trust?

PS: Kim took a question from a reporter. No news, but even answering was an earth-shaking event.
