ProPublica has updated its massive state-by-state compilation of nursing home inspection data and Arkansas is a leader, in a negative way.

In a ranking of “serious” deficiencies per home, as taken from inspection data maintained by Medicaid, Arkansas had the third-highest rate of deficiencies, slightly more than one per the more than 200 homes on average, behind only New Mexico and Kentucky.
