WATCH YOUR SPEECH! Limitations may even be stricter than already implied in this notice of a Tom Cotton town hall.

U.S. Sen. Tom Cotton has scheduled a town hall April 25 in Rogers and you can tell from the official announcement that there will be a low tolerance for dissent. Comments at the Facebook page about efforts of others to get tickets suggest additional pre-screening is going on.

Ozark Indivisible, which works to hold the unaccountable Cotton accountable, has posted some of the comments on its own Facebook page. Inconvenient time for his first town hall in two years, inability to get tickets, warnings against disruption. It adds up more to a campaign rally than a “town hall.”

It’s not exactly surprising. Cotton doesn’t much cotton to hard questions, whether from the public at large or reporters who he blacklists. He sticks with reporters who treat him nicely.
