NOT DEAD YET: Sen. Gary Stubblefield and Rep. Brandt Smith apparently aren't through fighting for a damaging and likely unconstitutional sanctuary city bill.

The poorly written bill to punish Arkansas cities that are kind to immigrants was defeated in committee last night, but it apparently isn’t dead yet. Call your representative.

Opponents of SB 411 to prohibit sanctuary policies in Arkansas (where no cities have any) say an effort will be made on the House floor today to extract the bill from committee for a vote on what could be the final day. That will take a two-thirds vote, I believe. And even Republican Gov. Asa Hutchinson has been among those saying the bill has constitutional flaws.

But … Immigrant hysteria runs strong.
