The state Finance and Administration Department says a second dispensary has been cleared to sell medical marijuana when it’s available from the growers.

Scott Hardin of DFA said:

Following an inspection yesterday by ABC Enforcement agents, Green Springs Medical dispensary (309 Seneca Street, Hot Springs ) received approval today to open for business. Of the 32 licensed dispensaries, Green Springs Medical is the second to receive this approval. Doctors Orders RX (4893 Malvern Avenue, Hot Springs) received clearance to open last week (May 3).

Green Springs announced on its Facebook page that it will open Monday. It will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday. It said:

We have decided in the interest of our customers to limit the first week purchase to 1/2 ounce per patient so that at least 1,600 patients will have product available. See you all soon !!!!

Doctors Orders is not open yet and its Facebook page doesn’t provide a specific opening date. It does provide some information about what types of product will be available, but it expects long lines and potential sellouts of initially limited products. It warns the business is cash only.
Hardin of DFA said later, however, that there was still a possibility of a dispensary opening this weekend.
