It’s turned into a fine Mother’s Day. Memories anyone?

My mother wasn’t a memorable cook (she was a hospital dietitian by training, so ….) But I remember her sewing my often-split pants; typing up an application on deadline for a scholarship when I was going to blow it off; her perfect cursive handwriting; her self-made life from overnight shift work in college to volunteering for Army duty in India in World War II, when she met my dad.

I probably should mention Betty Mueller Brantley was a registered Republican but loved me anyway. And vice versa.
