Voters in the Jacksonville North Pulaski School District have approved a 13-year extension of 22.4 property tax mills devoted to debt service to finance school construction.

The Pulaski County Election Commission said the vote, completed Tuesday, was 909 to 806, or a 53 percent approval rate. The district was carved from the historically tax-averse Pulaski County School District in 2016.

The turnout represented 8.55 percent of 20,111 registered voters.
