I couldn’t help but notice that major newspapers offered important tips for holiday weekends:
- COOKING BRISKET, in the case of the New York Times.
- POTATO SALAD, in the case of the Washington Post, which offers a variety of different approaches. Waxy potatoes, onion, celery, hard-boiled eggs, mayonnaise, dill pickle relish, celery salt, pepper and a dash of vinegar is my preference.
Call this the all-day open line.
