I mentioned Memorial Day that Sheryl Sandberg, the Facebook chief operating officer, and Marne Levine, who holds a similar post at Facebook-owned Instagram, had visited the Clinton Presidential Center and Central High School on a stop with kids in Little Rock on Monday.
Today, Sandberg wrote about the visit on Facebook. Her photos included her (second from left) with Levine’s husband, Philip Deutch, at far left. Levine is to the right of Sandberg in photo and the other couple is Katie Burke Mitic, also a former Facebook executive, and her husband Scott Mitic. They also had kids in tow.
Sandberg said their bucket list includes visiting all 14 presidential libraries. They’d seen Jimmy Carter’s earlier in the weekend (and Reagan, Eisenhower and Truman previously). She added:
Visiting the Clinton library was special since Marne and I worked in the Treasury Department under Clinton and we got to tell our kids more about our experience.
With each visit, we get a stamp in our Presidential library “passport” – and learn a lot more about how history was made. I love this tradition and can’t wait until we have all 14 stamps.
