The closure will take place at 9 a.m. Friday, in advance of the expected Arkansas River flood crest June 3. Access will still be allowed to the Riverdale area, which includes office buildings, residences and warehouses, but only via Cedar Hill Road or Riverdale Road, a city news release said.

Mayor Frank Scott Jr. has scheduled a 1:30 p.m. news conference today to talk about Little Rock flood preparations. It will be streamed on the city website. The time had originally been set for 2 p.m.
