The Little Rock police department reports that the Junction Bridge has been closed and urged people not to pass the barricades. This is the pedestrian bridge from Riverfront Park in Little Rock to North Little Rock.
Greg Yarbrough of KARK/Fox 16 reports that the closure wasn’t caused by flooding, but reports that a person had received a shock when touching the bridge railing. They are searching for the cause.
UPDATE: The Pulaski County government reported on Twitter at 4:54 p.m.
From Junction Bridge Board Representative: “It has been reported someone was “shocked” on the Junction Bridge today. This incident has been investigated by both LRPD and LRFD and has been proven to be false.”
