Former Lt. Gov. Bill Halter’s Scenic Hill Solar has announced more government contracts to supply electricity by solar power.

Today, the company says it will build solar power plants in partnership with the city of Camden and Ouachita County.  The news release said the plants, expected to operate by late 2019 or early 2020, will supply enough power for city and county government operations, the Camden water utility and the Ouachita County Medical Center. They forecast savings of about $115,000 a year in electricity costs.
