Arkansas Business reports that an affiliate of the Stephens Inc. financial empire has bought office buildings and parking along Louisiana Street on the east half of the block between 2nd and 3rd Streets to clear for more parking for the Stephens Inc. tower that occupies the block to the north. The parking deck serving that building is at capacity.

It’s a $4.4 million deal involving the offices of the VCC contracting firm and the Tripp Building, which faces 2nd Street, as well as a building once home to a law firm but now owned by Sam Alley. The plans will require city approval.
