Here’s the open line. And I wanted to mention something I overlooked Friday. News from the Arkansas Livestock and Poultry Commission:
The commission approved proposed rules that would allow the issuance of permits for the use of aircraft in the eradication of feral hogs. Feral hog airborne eradication permits may only be used for the protection of land, water, wildlife, livestock, domestic animals, timber, human life, or crops.
Feral hogs are a huge nuisance. It could be a greasy slope, however.
Take, Texas. Selling gunner seats on helicopters has become big business. Oklahoma more recently has gotten in on the act, along with other states. It’s being marketed as a hunting experience. Here’s a typical video of a successful hunt.
The proposed rule requires gubernatorial approval and there’ll be a 30-day comment period.
