Flooded Humane Society Shelter in Arkadelphia.

UNDERWATER: Early morning shot of flooding at Humane Society.

The Humane Society of Clark County in Arkadelphia put out an SOS earlier today, posting on its Facebook page that it was flooded and needing help moving the animals. “Can any of y’all keep a dog or two at your houses?

Now, the Humane Society is posting that volunteers “from all over” came forward to rescue 72 dogs, and money has been contributed to a Go Fund Me site for the shelter. The rescuers are now posting photographs of the rescued pups in their new homes.

The Weather Channel reported that one dog was killed when the shelter flooded, but the shelter did not report that. It also reported that water was over the hoods of cars in Nashville.
