Michael Poore, the Little Rock School District Superintendent, confirms that the district’s community advisory board accepted his recommendation last night that Rhonda Hall, the former principal of Mabelvale Middle School, be terminated.

Hall was placed on paid leave in June after the district began a review of a report by Elizabeth Lyon-Ballay on her Orchestrating Change blog that video showed Hall had struck a student while breaking up a fight. Earlier this month, Hall was charged with misdemeanor assault and a trial was set Oct. 31.

Poore tells me by e-mail that the Community Advisory Board voted 5-0 to accept his recommendation that Hall be terminated.
