For all of you who still think our @VP is anti-gay, I point you to his and the @SecondLady’s schedule tomorrow where they will join Taoiseach @LeoVaradkar and his partner Dr. Matthew Barrett for lunch in Ireland. 🇮🇪 @merrionstreet pic.twitter.com/Cj5kMpln0U

Judd Deere, the Arkansas native White House press aide who’s on record as a gay person defending the anti-gay actions of Donald Trump’s administration, took that defense too far yesterday.
Vice President Mike Pence — whose record is littered with anti-gay belief and policy initiatives as Indiana governor — is OK with gay, Deere suggested on Twitter, because he’ll deign to share a meal with a gay couple. I was going to unload on this but found many, many commentators got there ahead of me.
Imagine sending this tweet — explaining the VP and his wife can’t be anti-gay if they are willing to be in the same room with a gay leader and his partner — and thinking it’s a good thing. pic.twitter.com/nnlLf9mmiS

This is the Deputy White House Press Secretary. Next up: Trump has brunch with ACTUAL NEGROES to put all that “racism” stuff to rest. https://t.co/uKYapcucqY

There are many more, but you get the idea. For better or worse, Deere’s Tweet hasn’t been taken down.
