Little Rock lawyer Shanice Johnson will announce today as a candidate for Sixth Circuit judge, Division 10.

That’s the seat currently held by Judge Joyce Warren, who’s retiring. Lott Rolfe IV and Jonathan Warren also have announced as candidates for the seat, which currently handles juvenile cases.

Johnson, who’s a lawyer for the Human Services Department, said she would focus on “restoring confidence in a broken judicial system, a system that seems more set on punishment than restoration.”:
