A parent’s booster club has scheduled the auction of an AR-15 rifle to raise money to pay for a band trip to Florida.

Yes, they’re auctioning a semi-automatic military-style rifle to help kids in the school district where boys lying in ambush with rifles killed four students and a teacher in 1998.
Booster club president, Stacy Walz tells The Jonesboro Sun that she understands the criticism but says the district is filled with gun enthusiasts who support the fundraiser.
Hey, here’s an idea. Get Leslie Rutledge to be the auctioneer. Another gun enthusiast. At a minimum she’s surely good to buy some raffle tickets.
