This is a death threat, Representative. Clearly, you shouldn’t own an AR-15—and neither should anyone else. pic.twitter.com/jsiZmwjMDs

Democratic presidential candidate Beto O’Rourke said flatly yesterday that he’d “take” away military-style semi-automatic weapons such as the AR-15. He’s long supported buybacks of such weapons.
The Republican talking point machine immediately began the messaging that all Democrats want to take all guns. That’s a lie, but close enough for the GOP.
All of which reminds me that there’s a Democratic candidate who’s managed to be elected governor in a very red western state who isn’t a fan of guns designed for mass killing. I wish Montana Gov. Steve Bullock could qualify for the debate stage. Check out his Twitter feed.
I’m a gun owner. I hunt.
I also stand with @MomsDemand.
No one needs a 30-round magazine, a bump stock, or an assault weapon. https://t.co/7co0rL1K5d
