Hughes is resigning as the campus copes with a declining enrollment and budget difficulties.

Doss was dean of the School of Education for 10 years before becoming provost. In her current role, a release said, she’d been focusing on student retention at UAM. She has a doctorate in education from UA Little Rock, a master’s from UA Fayetteville and undergraduate degree from UAM.
