Pro Publica has updated its reporting on sums paid to doctors by drug companies and medical device makers in consulting and speaking fees.
Despite growing concerns about the practice, it has continued with 2,500 physicians receiving more than a half-million dollars in the last five years.
Arkansas doctors shared in the payments A searchable database shows all the payments to Arkansas doctors in 2018 alone. That listing leads with $469,000 paid to orthopedic surgeon David Collins, followed by $263,000 paid to Adam Maas, an endocrinologist in Rogers and $243,000 to Michael Cross, a Fayetteville internist. Three others received more than $100,000. Eighteen received more than $50,000.
