Big doings are scheduled at the Clinton Presidential Center in November.
- Nov. 20, former President Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will host a policy conference on economic inclusion and growth. Government, nonprofit, philanthropic and private sectors will talk about ways to encourage economic growth in underserved communities. A release said the conference is being held on the 25th anniversary of the Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFI) Fund, created during the Clinton administration.
- Nov. 22-23, the center will be the site of the World Woman Foundation’s 3rd World Woman Summit on the theme of “redefining rules” for ending hunger, global diplomacy, health equity, agriculture, entrepreneurship, emerging technologies, and leadership. Speakers include Gloria Feldt, president, Take the Lead®, and former president of Planned Parenthood, Christine Daugherty, vice president, global sustainable agriculture and responsible sourcing, PepsiCo, ; Pierre Ferrari, CEO, Heifer International; Stephanie S. Streett, executive director, Clinton Foundation; Pat Mitchell, editorial director, TED Women, Rebecca Martin, director, Center for Global Health at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention; Ben-Saba Hasan, senior vice president and chief global culture, diversity and inclusion officer, Walmart; Dr. Joyce Banda, former president of the Republic of Malawi, and Margery Kraus, executive chairman of APCO Worldwide.
