When Mark Abernathy opened Loca Luna 22 years ago, he started out with clever, creative lunch items. While they were certainly good, he realized they had limited appeal. Each day he would drive by the Dixie Cafe on Rebsamen Park Road and notice the full parking lot. He was reminded that Little Rock is a plate lunch town. So naturally, he decided he’d give the city the best plate lunch they can get. Since that decision 22 years ago, Loca Luna has been packing them in for what many consider to be the best plate lunch in town.

Classic meat and three. Homemade everything. Meatloaf, pot roast, fried chicken, chicken fried steaks, grilled fish, real mashed potatoes and cream gravy, fabulous mac & cheese, squash casserole, fresh greens, and tons more…all served with a fresh baked yeast role.
