CAPITOL RALLY: On strike day. Brian Chilson

Rest up, LRSD activists. The week after Thanksgiving is going to be brutal. There are crucial events scheduled Dec. 2-5.

6-7:30 p.m. Dec. 2, Parkview High School: The LRSD will present three options for redrawn attendance boundaries and allow for public comment.

3 p.m. Dec. 4*, State Board of Education Auditorium: The State Board will hold a work session “to further discuss LRSD November board meeting agenda items,” according to Education Department spokeswoman Kimberly Mundell. It’s unlikely there will be public comment and, if the meeting is organized like it was last time, there will be little audience seating.

6-7:30 p.m. Dec. 4, Parkview: The LRSD will host the second community forum on new high school zones.

5:30 p.m., Dec. 5, Little Rock School District Board Room: The LRSD will present its recommendation for a new high school boundary and the Community Advisory Board will vote on it.

*A previous version of this post mistakenly reported that the State Board work session was scheduled for Dec. 3.
