Why shouldn’t Donald Trump try to influence a foreign election? Russia helped him.
In this case, reports the Washington Post, the target is Great Britain. Trump is weighing in heavily on the side of Boris Johnson and the Conservatives. Liberal opponents are making hay from it (see example in Tweet above). The Conservatives are keeping their distance from Trump, unpopular in the UK. But he still may be backing a winner in this election.
If so, says the Liberal Party, bring on chlorinated chicken, hormone-injected beef and privatization of the national health service.
Trump isn’t the only U.S. weapon in the political fight. Wealthy Americans are also donating millions to the conservative cause.
