Gov. Asa Hutchinson, in an interview with NPR, says to no one’s surprise that he doesn’t think the House impeachment inquiry has produced evidence of obstruction of justice by Donald Trump in his obvious effort to coerce a foreign country to investigate a political rival and his refusal to cooperate with the inquiry.

Ken Starr did a better job in amassing evidence that Bill Clinton should be removed from office for lying about oral sex, said Clinton impeachment manager Hutchinson.

Oh, asked David Greene, what about Robert Mueller’s report that detailed evidence of obstruction, though Mueller avoided a conclusion because he didn’t believe he could under the law, leaving that to Congress. No problem for the governor. “The American public has closed the book” on the Mueller report, he said. Rule of law? Constitution? Congressional oversight? With Asa and other Republicans, it’s rule of Trump.
