North Little Rock police said federal agents have arrested a man on a federal gun charge following the shooting of a nine-month-old golden retriever last Saturday.
Estefany Perez’s dog was shot in the head at point-blank range in view of children on her South Spruce Street property Dec. 14. More here from KTHV, including an interview with the owner.
A police investigation was handed over to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, which took Gary Level Harris, 49, of North Little Rock, into custody on a charge of felon in possession of a firearm or ammunition. He’ll make an initial court appearance Monday, a police news release said.
The nine-month-old dog, Sol, is reported to be recovering after treatment.
