Good reporting in easy Twitter nuggets from Heidi Przybyla on Donald Trump’s efforts to smear Hunter and Joe Biden and detract attention from himself.
The day he made his call to the leader of Ukraine asking for an investigation of Hunter Biden in return for U.S. military aid, he was mulling over polls that showed Joe Biden with a commanding lead over him for re-election.
Przybyla also explains succinctly why Nancy Pelosi is withholding transmittal of articles of impeachment to the Senate. It’s in the hope (vain with 41 perent of voters most likely) that Trump is withholding key evidence.

And speaking of Hunter Biden: Has anyone else noted how the child support suit against Hunter Biden in Independence County helps Trump, at least in finding an alternative media outlet for his debunked theory about Hunter Biden’s dealings in Ukraine?
That Arkansas lawsuit includes: The urgency of getting Hunter Biden into a deposition (a December request was denied); the publicly filed proposed interrogatories with questions about Biden’s Ukraine gas company dealings; a private investigator (unconnected to this case as I originally suggested erroneously based on another website report) spreading on the Arkansas court record yesterday conspiratorial theories about Hunter Biden (stricken from the case itself by the judge, but not withheld from public view and widely disseminated; the mother’s lawyer also distanced himself from the investigator). Here’s that filing, which Biden’s lawyer says is bogus. These facts seem to bear little relevance to paternity or Hunter Biden’s child support abilities. Are they only coincidental to Trump’s cause?
I have a hard time thinking it’s only about the paternity suit. The mother’s lawyers, Clint and Jennnifer Lancaster are tied through hometown and politics to the leader of the Arkansas Republican Party, Doyle Webb, and his wife, Barbara Webb, a Supreme Court candidate running on her Republican connections. From the outside, the agenda appears broader than paternity and child support.
