Boyce Hamlet is resigning as director of enforcement at the state’s Alcoholic Beverage Control Division.
He gave his two-week notice in an email sent yesterday morning to Department of Finance and Administration director Larry Walther and Doralee Chandler, director or ABC administration. Hamlet was appointed by Governor Hutchinson in 2015.

UPDATE: Hamlet posted news of his departure on social media this evening:
After almost 6 years Monday was my last day as director of the Alcohol Beverage Control Enforcement division.

Hamlet is heading to a paid position on the Parole Board. Hutchinson appointed him to the new position on Thursday, Jan. 16.
