A Little Rock police officer was arrested today and charged with third degree domestic battery, police said in a statement today.

Officer Jonathan Walker has been on administrative leave since an incident in October. The LRPD responded to a report of an assault on October 13 and discovered that Walker one of the people involved in the incident. At that time the evidence was inconclusive in determining who was the aggressor, police said, and no arrests were made. Walker was placed on leave pending the criminal and internal investigation.

After the criminal investigation and a review conducted by Pulaski County prosecutors, an arrest warrant was issued for Walker, which was served today.

The internal investigation by the department’s Professional Standards unit is ongoing.
