Police searched the area and eventually found the Nissan parked behind the Pic-Pac Liquor Store, located at 4407 W. 12th Street. First responders attempted to provide medical aid  to Word but were unsuccessful and he was ultimately pronounced dead at the scene. His body was transported to the Arkansas State Crime Laboratory for an autopsy.
