Open since 1975, the Oyster Bar in Stifft Station is a beloved Little Rock institution. But that doesn’t mean the Oyster Bar’s menu wasn’t ripe for an update, and it’s definitely gotten one, according to new owner Chris Tanner.

And beyond such fundamentals as the expansion of drink options and oyster offerings, there are other fresh menu options to try at the new Oyster Bar. For starters (literally), there’s a new smoked fish dip, fresh blue crab cake, and roasted jalapeno hummus.

On the side, there’s the Oyster Bar’s manchego cheese grits, corn “macque choux,” and mustard greens. And the LROB’s new entree items, like fish tacos, a fried soft shell crab po boy, and an improved shrimp salad are all creating a buzz on Markham Street.

Look for daily lunch specials starting in January. With new construction, mixed drinks, live music, and an expanded menu, Tanner said “there’s just a lot coming” to Little Rock’s Oyster Bar.
