Arkansas Attorney General Leslie Rutledge, apparently having taken care of all pressing state business, is jetting off to South Carolina this week to join two other Republican attorneys general on a panel in advance of the Democratic presidential debate in South Carolina.

Topic: Democrats are lawless liberals while Republicans support the rule of law. It’s a stunt of the Republican association in which attorneys general shake down corporate interests for campaign cash.

The premise of the panel will be news to the many federal and state courts that have struck down Republican initiatives from Little Rock to the White House, including assaults on women’s medical rights, environmental regulation and human rights for immigrants, women, children and sexual minorities. Not to mention defiance of the Constitution and the separation of powers, disdain for the First Amendment, etc.

If you must, the event will be streamed on the web at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday. Rutledge will be joined by Chris Carr of Georgia and Alan Wilson of South Carolina (son of Joe “You Lie” Wilson, my one-time college frat brother and now a reprehensible Republican congressman from South Carolina.)
