When officers arrived on scene, they found two adult individuals, one male and one female, lying near the porch of 4212 Carter Lane suffering from what appeared to be apparent gun shot wounds. Medical personnel were requested to the scene and pronounced the male deceased on scene. The male was later identified as Craig Goodman (W/M DOB 05/15/1954). Detectives interviewed witnesses to this incident and learned that Mr. Goodman was chasing Ms. McCarty and shooting at her. Based on evidence from the scene and information collected, preliminary results indicate that Mr. Goodman shot Ms. McCarty as she fled her residence at 4218 Carter Lane, and then took his own life by shooting himself.
