Another day, another double shooting in Little Rock.

On April 29, 2020, at 2:34 A.M., officers responded to a shooting just occurred in the 2900 block of Romine Road. A 911 caller reported hearing several gun shots and later seeing a person lying in the driveway at 2920 Romine Road. When officers arrived, they located a male suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Medical personnel responded to the scene and pronounced Tavorrye Whitaker-Lemon (B/M DOB 03/26/1996) as deceased.

 

While officers were responding to the area, they received additional information of a second shooting victim that went to a house on Dorset Drive seeking help. Officers made contact with Juneau Willis (B/M DOB 06/20/1986) who was suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Officers applied a tourniquet in an attempt to provide medical attention until MEMS arrived. Mr. Willis was transported to Baptist Hospital for medical treatment.

 

Homicide Detectives responded to the scene and began their investigation by performing a neighborhood canvass of the area. Detectives were able to briefly speak with Mr. Willis be- fore he was provided medical attention, he informed detectives he was with Mr. Whitaker-Lemon on Romine Road when he was shot. The Crime Scene Search Unit was requested to process the scene. Detectives and the Crime Scene Search Unit searched for possible evidence at the scene and towed Mr. Whitaker-Lemon’s vehicle and Mr. Willis vehicle to the Crime Scene Bay to be examined for evidence
