Little Rock police say a person was killed in a disturbance last night at 7715 McDaniel Drive in Southwest Little Rock. No identification of the victim or further details at the moment.
Update: the victim was a male who died from gunshot wound. He was shot by an acquaintance.
Update: Police release:
“October, 17, 2020, at approximately 1:04 AM, officers in the Southwest Division were called to a shooting just occurred at 7715 McDaniel Drive. A person inside the residence called police after hearing a disturbance followed by gunshots, and later finding a male shot in another portion of the residence. Officers arrived at the location and located a black male, Antony King (B/M DOB 11/21/1979), suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Officers requested medical personnel to respond to the scene, who later pronounced Mr. King as deceased.
“While officers were on scene, they also made contact with a female subject, identified as Jaida Bangura (B/F DOB 03/13/2001) who was involved in this shooting.
“Homicide Detectives responded to the scene and began conducting interviews and examining the scene. After the preliminary investigation, interview of Ms. Bangura, and other occupants that were at this location when the shooting occurred, no charges are being filed against Ms. Bangura at this time. Once this investigation is complete, the file will be submitted to the Pulaski County Prosecutors Office for a file review. From information obtained throughout this investigation, the victim and suspect were known to each other and there is no threat to the public.”
