Arkansas Times readers are familiar with Ryan Wingo, the Arkansas State Police trooper who blasted Little Rock lawyer Don Cook in the face with a beanbag projectile for violating curfew by remaining on the Capitol protest during a peaceful protest of … police brutality. (The BLM demonstration.)

Austin Bailey followed that story with more details about Wingo’s career — including the fatal shooting of a motorcyclist he was pursuing and his handling of a couple during a dubious traffic stop in which he manhandled a driver — apparently for the offense of cursing him (protected speech, federal courts have ruled repeatedly.)

Now comes the extensive report at the top, including extensive use of Wingo’s dashboard camera, of the traffic stop that has prompted a lawsuit. David Shuster is a former TV newsman in Arkansas who produced this piece for the Rebel HG YouTube channel. The commentary opines that Wingo is one of the worst troopers in America. The video doesn’t disprove the idea.
