Attorney General Leslie Rutledge is meeting the press this morning to discuss a lawsuit against major drug companie

UPDATE: Rutledge will sue over insulin prices. Her suit says drug companies and pharmacy benefit managers under state consumer protection law for conspiring to raise list prices and kicking back profits to the benefit managers.

Rutledge should perhaps talk to the Arkansas Republicans in Congress who oppose the Democratic legislation to put a cap on insulin prices. Also, other lawsuits are already in progress over insulin prices. For example, this similar class action over alleged collusion by drug companies and benefit managers.

CORRECTION: In an original report this morning I mentioned, “coincidentally,” a 43-state lawsuit filed in Connecticut over price-fixing generic drug prices.  That suit was not filed today, as I wrote, but in 2019. Arkansas was not a party in that suit.
