Inside Saline reports that a suspect chased by Benton police shot was fatally shot about 8:15 p.m. Sunday.

According to emergency radio transmissions, there was a pursuit that went from Highway 35 to Bennett Rd to Kay Rd, where the subject stopped and shots were fired. The dispatch communication stated the suspect was shot in the chest.
