Coming soon to a North Little Rock neighborhood near you? Dogtown's emotional support goats are keeping it lively on the Nextdoor app. KAUSIKA BORDOLOI

Your emotional support chihuahua wasn’t quite doing the job? Need support when you’re gardening? If you live in North Little Rock, try getting a goat — an emotional support goat, that is.

We noticed resident Willie Baker’s Nextdoor post a few days ago. When we reached out, the poster didn’t want to talk about the matter and elevate the problem to the news level. But it may be too late. The post had already attracted about 200 comments. While some are unfazed by the noisy ungulates, others recommend a neighborhood goat roast.

More than 200 people have responded so far to Willie Baker’s plea for help with the emotional support goats next door.

We contacted the North Little Rock Animal Shelter today and asked, as a curious caller, if goats could qualify as emotional support animals in the city. They can be if you get all the required documents completed properly and the head of the shelter signs off on the matter, the employee answering the phone said after making a quick check.

I think I’ll stick with my 16-pound part-weiner, part-chihuahua dog who barks like a maniac when Bite Squad rings the doorbell, but has yet to bleat.
