The Arkansas Department of Health reported 1,181 new positive COVID-19 cases Aug. 26. Eight new deaths were reported. 

Hospitalizations increased by 18, which brought the statewide total to 325. Those in the ICU dropped by four to 67 and the number of patients on ventilators had no change with 13 total.

Active pediatric cases rose 203 to 2,798. These active cases are one-fourth of all 11,103 statewide.

Total Arkansas case numbers totaled 928,253 and deaths 11,895.
