Michael Hibblen, the news director for KUAR, 89.1 FM, the Little Rock affiliate of NPR, is leaving the station to work for Arkansas PBS, he announced today on Twitter. A long time, distinctive voice on KUAR, Hibblen has been a frequent guest over the years on “Arkansas Week,” Arkansas PBS’ long-running public affairs show.

This is the second prominent departure at the station this year. General manager Nathan Vandiver left in July after his wife got a new job in Portland, Oregon.
