Someone on Twitter named Cam Harless has made very good use of his time by imagining what every U.S. president would look like if they were “cool” and had a mullet. He almost certainly did this using an artificial intelligence art generator, which takes these unfathomably large data sets of images and magically merges them together based on whatever keywords a user enters.

The whole thread is fun, but here’s Bill Clinton in all his parallel universe glory (along with George W. Bush, who looks like Steve Carell and not very cool).

When AI image generators started to get popular, I played around a little with one and used “Sarah Huckabee Sanders eating lobster in the Arkansas Governor’s Mansion in the style of Pablo Picasso” as a prompt and got a fairly compelling result.

One of my good buddies, who is an incredibly talented artist, has an Instagram page where he creates scenes from a parallel universe Mardi Gras. It’s all pretty fascinating and wild what you can do.
